How do I work with Wood River?

The best way for us to work together is for you to stop in and see us. We have a beautifully designed studio showroom which we designed and built from the ground up to exemplify our work and what we can do for you.

Our current hours are Tue – Sat 11-5pm.

What is required to place an order?

A non-refundable 50% deposit is collected when the order is placed. Custom orders begin immediately upon receiving the deposit and cannot be canceled, changed, returned, or refunded. 

We will work together to ensure you are comfortable with all of the details of the order prior to collecting a deposit. 

Do you have a showroom?

Yes. Our showroom is located at 7077 North Atlantic Ave #7, Cape Canaveral, FL.

What if I have a problem or concern?

Purchasing a custom piece of furniture is an exciting experience, but we also know it requires faith in us to deliver, and we do not take that responsibility lightly. 

You should feel respected and considered throughout the entire process. If for any reason you do not we want to know about it. Please contact us first so that we have a chance to make it right. 

I stained, scuffed, scratched, or dinged my furniture, now what?

No need to worry. Furniture is intended to be use so scratches, scuffs, and dings will be part of its natural wear. However, the materials we work with are heirloom quality and are intended to last for generations which means there is a lot we can try to resolve these issues.

Most issues of stains, scuffs, scratches, or dings can be fixed. The best way is to text us a picture of the problem (321)451-3839. We will then assess the piece and determine next steps.

Depending on the severity, we do offer table repair. For $15/square foot we will refinish the top of the table to its original glory. Owner is responsible for delivery and pickup.

How long does it take to make a table?

Every project is a little different and we will discuss lead time prior to placing the order – however, here is a quick reference.

Ready River Tables – 1 week
Live Edge Slab Table – 2 weeks
Custom River Table – 4 weeks
Custom Lighting – 4 weeks
Leaning Mirror – 4 weeks

*Duration is based on project commencement. Actual timing may vary based on backlog.

How do I care for my table?

Solid wood reacts to the amount of humidity in your home. Long periods of low humidity will dry wood and cause splitting, cracking, and warping. Exposing your furniture to excessive dampness should also be avoided. Controlling the indoor relative humidity year round between 30-35% will help to eliminate these problems. When arranging furniture in your home, be thoughtful to avoid heat vents and direct sunlight to prevent discoloration, drying, and cracking.

We work with the highest quality wood finishes in the industry to seal and protect your furniture – however, it is always a good practice to avoid exposing wood to moisture. Be thoughtful to immediately clean up spills and to use coasters to prolong the elegance of solid wood furniture.

Do you do furniture repair?

We offer table resurfacing. One of the advantages of buying solid wood furniture is that it can be refinished. Like a cobbler resoles a fine pair of shoes we can refinish hardwood table tops leaving your table looking like new. 

The process starts with a complete removal of the originally finished surface. We then re-sand and re-finish the top.

Resurfacing price: $15 per square foot

We are often asked about repairing furniture we did not create and while we are happy to consult this is not something we typically do – however, we will always help where we can.

Do you deliver?

Yes, we offer delivery to the address within 175 miles of Cape Canaveral, FL. Standard delivery is $150 for 0-30 miles and $0.50/per mile after that.

We are happy to help carry the piece into your home – however, I do require an able body to assist.
